I am interested in a slash cut gp style muffler for my 03 r6, but i need to know if i need to get the engine re-mapped for it to work properly. Any suggestions?

Just a slip on? it will drop backpressure a little but the stock manifold will still create restriction and not effect the A/F too much. U should be fine.

Normally I'd say no, but going to a slash cut GP style on an '03 R6 will kill the midrange.
A PCIII and a custom map will help clean it up.

Its not required but like Patrick said, It couldnt hurt to get one at some point to clean up the power band...

Do you have an R6 or R6S?

An '03 R6 is the same as an R6S in that is comes with a stock exhaust designed for a longer collector assy. as opposed to an R6 which comes with a semi short set up to begin with.
