the WSBK PB Kawasaki team entered this round of the BSB,
Broc Parkes qualified 2nd and Sheridan Morais 3rd (standing in for Tamada)
wish I could find Morais crash from race 1 on youtube, that was another huge one

Chris Martin's crash injuries worse than thought
Not just a broken ankle for the Kawasaki young-gun after highspeed crash

Posted: 12 August 2009
by Ben Cope THE NEWS just keeps getting worse for Gearlink Kawasaki's Chris Martin after his horrific crash at Brands Hatch in the British Superbike Championship meeting on Sunday.

The youngster was left with a broken ankle, as revealed by visordown.com, but it has just been discovered that he has more injuries than were first diagnosed too after his massive crash in the British Supersport race.

Chris has also broken the pin inserted into his other ankle earlier in the year and after being scanned is now under further investigation for SEVEN broken vertebrae.
He is waiting to be transferred to Kings College Hospital in London for further treatment.

Doesn't come as a shock having watched that video a few times but these medical teams need to get their together

The place must be jinxed. Just last year in WSS Craig Jones lost the back end and wan'st lucky enough to be thrown off the track...., SBK did'nt go back there this year.

that was a decision based on finances and not its safety record,
The Flamini group wanted twice the rate that had been charged over previous years which in a time of reccession Jonathan Palmer (circuit owner) felt unreasonable!
