Angry Not a trader rating low enough for this guy

i found a great deal on an exhaust on psychobike. a ti-force in "mint condition". just 1 "flat spot". there's pics too. i go get my postal mo, send it in. i'm eargerly watching the tracking. i wanted it sent to no limit motors, in tomball.
i check 1 day, get a msg "this item is undeliverable to zip 77084"
wtf? that's the wrong zip! i ask seller, he says he's is afghan, his wife must've sent it to my mo addy. yet i was home that day. i would've accepted it, whatever.
so it goes back to carolina, then back to me (this has taken nearly a month)
i open the box.
the can is discolored.
1 of the rings the springs hook to is ground away.
speaking of springs, there's like 3-4 missing, as are the bolts that hold it to the head.
i send him a msg regarding the condition.
he says he wasn't present when it was taken off the bike, he's in afghan.
send it back, he'll refund my $....
i go to the post office. in an attempt to save a little coin, i wanna ship the slow boat, but still have ins. i look at the old shipping label. it says they paid $54. there's priority tape on the box. but the post office wont ship non priority with those labels intact. so do i rip that off, then get back in line for another 15 minutes? no, i'll just take the .
they calculate my return shipping.
incredibly it comes out even higher!
$56.00
i guess there's no chance in i'll get my shipping back.
if there's a black cloud over my head, why's it so fkn hot?
i'm fkn done buying big ticket items on the net

he didn't say that up front, only after the shipping fiasco.

and "was it used"?
the fkr was hammered
the back half could be salvaged with ceramic coating.
the front would need welding to even work.

Paypal ftw. Never ever ever send a postal money order. If something is wrong with the product when you get it, you can dispute it on paypal.

i only but from a company on the net. I never ebay or anything like that. This place has some really cool stuff for a good price including exhaust http://www.flyncycle.com/

This place has everything but exhaust and when its your first order you get a discount. Then they give you a free member card so you get 20% off anytime you order. I have ordered from both of these places countless times

i've heard all paypal does is freeze the accounts of both parties when a dispute arises.
also they're anti-gun.
with a postal mo the fed supposedly gets involved if the transaction is fraudulant. in this case there was pictures, and it looked just fine in them

+1 NEVER send money orders.

Best to use a credit card with paypal. You can dispute through paypal, but all they do is send an automated message to the other party and tell you to wait for a reply (up to 30 days). If the other person doesn't respond, and doesn't have money in their account, paypal tells you tough luck, sorry.

That was my experience with them. Luckily I used my credit card through paypal. Called the CC company and disputed the charge. No hassles, no problems. Charge removed FTW.

Follow up email from Paypal threatening to close my account because I didn't go through them to have the chargeback done to my card, FTL! Paypal would have charged 10 bucks, dealing directly with the CC company = free.

That was a few years ago - hopefully it's gotten better. Paypal is awesome... until it's not.

paypal suck. i lost 200 because of their system. they don't protect . you'll only get your money back if there's money in the other person account. otherwise, they'll just put a negative on his/her account until there's money in there. the other person will just create another account.
