houston drivers are bad in general, even when you are in a car you see people cutting you off, changing lanes, talking on cell phone un neccessarily and here people are less curteous to other drivers. Here right of way is never given always taken ....lol

I was in boston recently for a couple of weeks, entirely different driving experience. I am not saying they are gr8 drivers and all.... but they are more defensive, curteous for sure.

I guess thats the price we r all having to pay to represent H -town !!

Since I ride 5 days a week that is only a little over 5 months and one serious injury every 6 years. Sh*ty odds if you ask me.
Is it the unlikely event of permanent damage vs. street or the fact that you usually can only blame yourself on the track? Why do people say the track is safer.
I here lots of people bragging about how they are bored on the street and can only ride the way they want to on the track (acceptable) and then turn around and say not to ride on the street to the general public (not).
I personally leaning toward never riding on the track and sticking with cruising to work and back and an occasional m/g. Its just less costly and looks safer (till I get run over). Speaking of are track credits transferable?

I forsee a cheap for sale thread. You didn't answer my questions though. Are you still here and why is the track considered safer?

track has ambulance, helpful people and command and control already up and running. Still won't add the track to my risks though.
