Man, you gotta dodge no matter where you ride.....My experiences.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please be careful out there. Houston drivers are getting worse. No matter what part of town, there's always someone that intentionally or unintentionally tries to make us a target. From my experiences, who to watch out for:

1. The 5ft 2in surburban housewife, midwife, soccer mom or whatever the they call themselves that goes to the dealership and buys the biggest f__king SUV on the lot that they can't drive because they can't see over the dash. Then they have nerve enough to drive while holding toy dogs and talking on cell phones.

2. My brothers in the hood making "Cadillac" turns from the middle lanes. Almost got got on MLK by a dude in a Geo Prism making a cadillac turn and coming in my lane to holla at some chick. WTF!!!

3. The car full of teenage girls (no offence). All were on the phone. No kidding and completely ran a stop sign on one occasion and another just two were in the car, were at the stop sign saw me and STILL pulled out.

4. Oncee again, on MLK. Parents who own sport cars that let there teens drive. Guy was in mommy's mustang. I knew it wasn't his because it had a Delta Sigma Theta sorority sticker and license tag. He wanted to race from the light. He sped off, and got pulled over by a cop pulling out of Timmy Chan's.

5. Just about anyone in a Honda Civic (hope im not offending). Why do these guys wanna race us? We're just chillin and riding. What are they trying to prove?

I hope I didn't offend anyone on this board. I just want us all to make it through our daily rides without incident.

I'm convinced that the Flexfuel Suburbans use fat, useless, nondriving cvnts as the alternative fuel.

Sounds like MLK just isn't your street bro.

I agree though, I hate riding in Houston (proper) unless I'm with a group so people will see us...

Lol. I've come to realize you are correct. Nevertheless, my point is it's bad anywhere and I don't wanna see/hear any of you all get hurt over some bs driver.

Yamaha 1100 VStar Custom - trading in on new 2010 Goldwing on 9/4/09!!!

Had a "maid" pull out onto Memorial (about a block west of Loop 610) from a side street and try to make me a hood ornament about a year ago. How do I know she was the "maid"? Even the poorest kid in that area, a year before he gets his license, has a nicer car than that 5-6 year old Honda Civic. Funny thing (not really) is that she looked me straight in the eye as she did it. I laid it down and did $1000 damage plus three broken ribs (curb) and scraped up knee and elbow so I think I got off really easy. A couple of construction guys at the house going up across the street ran over to see how I was and help get my 1100 V Star off me.

She drives off in front of 10+ witnesses without even stopping and no one got the license number. As off as I obviously was, it only took about a minute to realize how lucky I'd been. New peg, shifter, gas tank, plus some broken ribs and a scraped up elbow and knee is pretty tame stuff. If that is the worst that happens to me, I'm doing alright. A friend had another bud get hit the same day when someone pulled out and that guy lost his leg. Yeah, I'm damned lucky.

People on cell phones changing lanes without signaling should be shot on sight

Street riding in Houston is simply the game of surviving one near death experience to the next.
