Yeah, we do a 1:1 for intermediate/ advanced riders. We tailor it to the needs of the student and his instructor is his for the entire day with video. We use our resident fast guys who bring the student up to their goals, whether that be just to move up to the "A" group, be a more educated "B" group rider, get in to racing in the CMRA, or if they're a resident racer and just want to get faster. We do this for a nominal fee and cap the number of riders who can sign up for it so that we don't over-tax our instructors.

I don't want to turn this in to a commercial, but I'm glad you asked about it for me to describe it a bit none-the-less.

I agree with you that the Doug Polen thing probably amounts to the same thing as a day with Ty at Ride Smart.

Ronnie has had our folks work with more than one student every once in a while in the novice class and I know how challenging it is for most folks to work with one or two students- we try to never go past 2:1 but some of our folks can handle and do well with 3 students. Once you get in to teaching advanced skills to folks with seat time under their belts already, it takes a lot more time to actually get them what they're there for. I can't imagine that folks will get much time with DP even with a fancy communicator... more power to 'em though if they can pull that off.

Personally, if I'm paying for advanced instruction, I'd rather have that 1:1 attention because I'm kinda needy in that way...

rrrrreeeeally!?

I am not saying it would not be worth it. Just know what you are getting ahead of time!

yeah i got it ,i dont think its a load of money ,but i think it would be better spent on some real 1 on 1 after a few trackdays.
i think maybe this would benefit "faster" guys best.......meaning those that have all their skills well tuned in....and prolly a waste of time and effort for the rest of us mortals.

Good for Moira, I am glad the event sold out. I'll wait to hear attendees reviews and maybe next year, who knows.
