ok, finally made up my mind

Nallin stage 2 head work = extensive cnc porting, new valves, guides keepers etc etc etc.
red shift 575 grind cams
new 1250 steel cylinders &
new forged thunderstorm 10.5.1 pistons

= approx. 100 hp 100/torque and able to handle 50 shot of nx easily as well as some boost if I decide to stick the turbo kit back on.
I will send the heads away monday since I wont be able to tear it down till the weekend, then they said approx. 3 weeks to get em back w/ new everything.

nah, its about being different. rods are for homos

just yokin' you know

with a smidgen of spray it will be nasty fast, and if I decide to bolt the turbo kit on, and I may do that later when I can afford a huge assed s&s carb and stuff, I will easily be in the 150+ range without spray.
With the forged innards I should easily be good for 15-20# boost reliably and then I would need a bigger carb to feed it and not hinder the flow to the capacity of the heads/ cam/ turbo package. My stock carb will in no way be close to accomplishing this much flow.
But w/o turbo, I can use stock carb and run 100/100 and also spray with an additional fuel nozzle and be good for 130 or so. Various ways to go, especially since the turbo kit is already done and ready to go. I'll just make better brackets to help hold it up w/o vibing itself to detruction.

you guys will be surprised what happens when you include torque with HP.
Torque is something the rice bikes dont have.
torque = coming out of the hole and pulling the whole range. true, it wont beat him top end, my bike isnt an aerodynamic critter and I dont wanna do 150 anyways, but I will bet it will drag him to 100+.
In stock trim, my bike at a measly 70+HP would drag 600's to 70 or so. the one and only time I tried that was when I launched and it took off left and I had to let off to correct and still held him off to 65-70.
I am thinking maybe you guys just dont know and might need some educating. Let me finish this pos harley and we will get some play time in.
its not going to be the baddest bike, but will indeed be faster than the average rice pilot thinks.

Those red shift cams are going to be nice. I've thought about doing it, but aren't those the ones that take your stock cams and replace the lobes?

Have you thought about a mikuni carb instead of a S&S?

no, they are not the ones taking the stock and building em up. these are recommended by nallin and thye seem to know how to make useable reliable power, so Im gonna go with their recommendation.
and I dunno on the carb yet, more than likely, a mikuni 42 would be the easiest one to run with less maintanance and hassles, they are pretty much trouble free and people are averaging 105hp with the set-up I will have, then im gonna add spray and possibly boost when it gets broke in, dunno yet.
