When my son was motocrossing, he barfed before almost every race!! For some reason, I dont' think it was a ritual though!!
Now that he is on the pavement, we have not experienced that yet, and I hope it stays that way!! You can cover it up in the dirt, but not on the pavement!!!

I heard that Linz likes to pop off fireworks as one of his pre-race rituals

I don't race no more.... but for 15 years or so it was sit in the hot, smelly portolet and push out that last little bit because there is no more uncomfortable feeling on the planet then having a bladder full or ground hogging 30 minutes into your 1 hour stint....

James, Cliff and Wil are right. My new pre-race ritual involves trying to blow fingers off the hand with big- fireworks. My ISP has taken a dump, but as soon as I'm plugged in, I'll tell the story of bombs, blood, stitches, bruising, tendon issues, and broken bones.
