Question Boots for Large Calves?

Can anyone recommend a boot for someone with large calves? I have Popeye calves and it seems most boots for my shoe size (9.5) are made for twig legs.

But I'm willing to bet your feet are not size 9.5!

Unless you're at the track, buy boots that cover your ankle, and don't worry about your calves so much. I'm short with big calves, too, so I have the same problem.

It's okay, you can. But if you can't find boots to cover your calves and fit comfortably, then there really isn't another option.

I have Sidi's AND I've had another pair of race boots (although I cannot recall the brand) and neither of them close over my calves. So, until a company makes boots that fit bigger calves, or shorter ppl, then boots that cover the ankle (as we were told in MSF), are better than no boots at all.

boots that kinda fit over the calves > covers ankle only > no boots.

but not all ppl are created equally. And when the boot size is small, the calf size is also small.

Street boots tend to have more room in the calf than racing boots, so if you are ok with a touring boot you should have plenty to choose from.

I've got pretty good sized calves too and I wear a pair of Diadora boots... But I've had luck in the past with AGV. I got so sick of the discomfort that i wear my leathers on the outside of my boots now like Rossi... but i jsut do it cus tucking the leathers into the boots cuts off circulation to my feet

They also leave horrible bruises from where they pinch.

IF anybody REALLY knows what boots fit large calved, short ppl who wear a small size, please, speak now.
