Want to move inspection sticker

Hey guys,
Alright so I want to remove my inspection sticker plate and move the sticker to the swingarm, but when I started to the sticker peels off to say void or what not. Does anyone know if I'm going to get a ticket if I move it even though it's good for another year?

If I am not mistaken, it has to be visible from the rear. You might want to check with the DPS.

I have always had my inspection sticker on my swingarm and have never had any problems from the cops. Althought I rarely do anything to draw the attention of the cops. To follow the letter of the law it needs to be close to the plate and visible from the rear. There is a chance a cop on a power trip could hassle you, but I wouldnt worry about it.

search "inspection" and your post is funny, cuz just putting it on the swingarm is enough reason to get pulled and ticketed, let alone the "void"

There's nothing that says it must be visible from the rear, however, it does have to be "near" the license plate.

Putting it on the swingarm gives them reason to pull you over, but I've got mine on there and never been hassled about it. Just like everyone else though, all of my is up to date and legit.

And +1 on search. There are several threads about this.

I don't know if they do it nowadays, but in the up states (NY), they wanted the stickers on the left fork, or visible from the left side... donno why thou?

Alright cool, thanks for the input and suggestions. So from what I hear I think I'm going to just do it anyway and color it back blue with a sharpie.....So maybe I'll let everyone know how my ticket goes in a week or so lol. I just wanna get rid of that plate that hangs a foot off the licence plate.

Mine is on the swing arm. If you want to move it, just buy another one. I think they are 14.00

"Near" the license plate and the plate has to be clearly viewable from the rear

+1 for searching threads

That said, mine's always been on the swing arm & I've never had a problem. But I'm legit, up to date on everything, & don't run, so I generally don't them off too much.
exact same here and same theory

i got mine inspected and the guy actually put it on part of the body near the center of the bike because i didnt have my plate brackets yet but needed the inspection sticker to get it registered. havent had any problems so far, but havent been pulled over either.
