I know you understand this Brandt. Bubby and I made our decision long before all of this came out and we are honored to be a part of the LSTD family.................. I just don't want to see some of the instructors names tarnished now when they had nothing to do with the busniess aspect of TTD.

I had heard of a few issues with ttd... nothing about the instructors.. just the org management itself... a buddy of mine wanted me to work one on one with him and a ttd date was the only one convenient for us both... so he paid for both our days...That week... ttd cancelled the event.. so i never got a chance to ride with them, but it did kinda set the tone with how things worked out for them. i ended up riding with another org that weekend instead. of all the message boards I'm on... M&M had memberships on a couple... and have all but disappeared since all this went down..

I do think its pretty that the loyal customers they had (some may have just been unaware) and the tracks themselves are getting stiffed here... I had hopes that TTD would be able to come back from all this mess... but I don't see that being such an easy task...

I also hope that riders across the state are open minded enough to realize that what happened is in no way the fault of any of the instructors that worked with TTD. Especially since those instructors aren't hiding as some have suggested... they're riders just like us.. who love a sport and have a passion to participate in it.... having never met Tim or Brenna, or any of the others... If I met them at a track day, they'd just be part of the 2wheel family same as anyone else there.

IMHO, I think the instructors should leave these threads alone and let M&M come in here to clear their name. I know you guys feel some loyalty to them but from what I am reading, they do not sound like the best of peeps.

TTD was losing $ and went out of business. And like all other businesses they owe money now. Simple as that. Sucks but it happen millions of times every year.

I don't think anybody is judging the instructors, just the owners.

All of the regional orgs are proud of the job they do and who they represent.
Trash talking is a by product of their pride.

I had hoped that they would reorganize and come back someday. This appears to indicate that isn't going to happen.
Too bad, I am disappointed at Meril and Manu, I didn't wanna believe it would go this way.
It's true that it happens all the time but I hoped that since TD orgs are pretty small that they would be able to honor their debts. Now it looks like their debts may have gotten out of hand.

Truly I feel bad for the folks that are affected (staff and customers).

I don't however see anyone placing blame on any staff, but those comments seem to come up throughout this (these) threads. Seems pretty well directed toward the owners except when staff (or former staff) try to defend or re-direct things. To me their placing themselves needlessly in harm's way. But you know what they say, you can lead a horse to water...

I'm glad that the track has decided to post up something, now I don't have to keep my mouth shut any more about it

Hopefully some good will come of all this...

Sorry to all of you who has lost your time or money with TTD but I do agreed with mr whoopie. This is business and this is what happens when a business failed. Anyone has connection or involvement with the failed company will be at lost. I don't think anyone can recover anything from a business that has bellied up, IMO. Good luck to all that has money owed to them and I agreed with bumblebee, I was hoping that they would return someday but at this rate, I am too, disappointed.

LOL at Tomlstd for keeping it under the lids.

Sounds like a lot of people got railed by TTD. I for one am not one of them and greatful. If they are into TWS (Texas World Speedway) for almost $10k and into MSRH for knows how much (way more I would figure, based on events) what makes you guys think they are going to pay you first?

Rusty - thanks for the info. I for one appreciate that you have kept TWS (Texas World Speedway) available to us motorcycle enthusiasts as well as the other speed freaks. As you said in the first MC event at TWS (Texas World Speedway) after the sale, we motorcycle guys are a different breed, and we are passionate about the time we spend on the track. I can only hope that in this tough economy that the more reputable organizations like Ridesmart and LSTD can continue to nail down a schedule, PAY THEIR BILL, and provide us with the opportunity to RIDE!

There's a few of us my friend... Glad Rusty piped up. Sucks that people not even associated w/ TTD knew more than most of their staff.

I don't know whether some of you realize this or not but this affects EVERYONE who wants to ride any future track days.
The TTD knuckleheads through deceit, false promises, and bad checks CHANGED the way all the tracks do business with us. One bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch blah blah blah..........
BULLSHIT. IT DOES.
More bad from motorcyclists.

Booking events you can't pay for, taking membership $$ from people when your not sure you'll be around next week, and writing bad checks is just common in business? Tough ??? I don't agree. They knew this was coming and they kept taking. Plain and simple.
