Maybe letting the truth be told here on this BBS might give people a better understanding of what they are dealing with.
It's only drama because the M&M show won't return anyones calls or e-mails.
I find this to be very sad.
Felony charges will not be much fun.....

It's a little too late for that. And of all the drama threads this forum has seen over the past year, this one is a dozy.

I think with all of the drama being stired up, it should be made clear that though the M&M brothers may have acted in a less than professional manner, I don't think there can be anything said negative about TTD's staff. They tried their best to put together a great product. Their instructions both in and out of the classrooms were first rate. I have nothing but the highest respect and regard for them and hope things will get straightened out in the end.

This thread is. The situation is not. Here is something I posted in another thread.

As the forum grows, the demand for bandwidth and server space does too. The original "owner" of the board usually does not have the personal resources to shell out to pay for the expansion and the availability of sponsors creates a "perfect" match. Local or related business get to advertise on the board and receive their of sub-forum and maybe mod privileges, while the forum gets the needed funds to continue its operation. Unfortunately once money is brought into the equation, the forum staff will be obligated to moderate or "rule" threads in the favor of the sponsors instead of the users if issues arise.

This goes on until something goes astray between one of the sponsors and any one person on the board. Bad business and simply ****ed up situations do happen. But when they do the forum staff has only 2 options.

1. Rule with an iron first and alienate its userbase, as it no longer becomes as "free" as some members expected it to be. (I.E. houston240sx.com and 786motoring)

2. Sever ties with the sponsor and put any discussion that involves the said sponsor on the "ban" list. (I.E. houston-imports.com and Planet Zero)

I will go participate but no longer instruct. To me it isn't worth the cost of tires, fuel, and other items when you no longer get to ride for yourself. I'm much happier paying for the TD as it really is a minimal cost in the scope of things+_you get to ride for you all day.

I do have to admit it was fun for a while helping newbies out and I still will but not in the same fashion as I did with LSTD or TTD.

I need a track fix....

Probably depends on how much they talked about the other orgs while they were working for the best.

I mean...as much as I have talked, I wouldn't dare ask TTD for a job.

But some have no shame.

They kept their dirty deeds hidden as they said how great they are. Its good to get confirmation. All the tracks could compare notes that would be interesting.

By the way you let me follow you around the track two years ago on my bike, that was cool and I'll never forget that. Now I'm there all the time.

Most of the instructors that were with TTD didn't do this. There was a few, yes. But they were not the majority. There are some great guys that instructed with TTD that never got caught up in the whole track day org bashing thing, had nothing to do with how the business of TTD was run.

I would venture to say some of this was NOT hidden nor does it come as a huge surprise to more than a few people.

Yeah I know but it was hidden from all the a lot of beginners and others but you can't post about business deals we weren't part of or had no way to prove it. But the track management can. Just thought they might work it out.
