They get big, we used to hunt them with pelet guns in Hawaii. Pretty sure it's the tail and head you have to worry about.

well, they are not venomous, but their bite is so painful. These creatures have the most powerful jaws of the animal kingdom, taking in consideration their size, of course. And if you looks close and the head, is segmented in two pieces, well, they can move them front and back independently. creepy.

lol. sheesh, no sense of humor whatsoever.

but seriously, in Mexico I used to live in a place that was semiarid, but there was a big expansion of land that wasn't populated just across the street from where I lived.

Everytime it rained hard the water would pool in several places, some big, some small, and one time I was one, about an inch thick and over a foot in lenght, swimming happily, it creept me out because it's back was pitch black, not redish like most I have seen.

And also, I would find scorpions too from time to time, not very big, at about 3 inches, but they pack a punch too.

Oh, and another time, while I was still in middle school, I would walk every morning on my way to school, and the elementary school, which was about 5 blocks away, and surrounded by a chainlink fence, I saw a centipede, once again, blackish, hacked to pieces, it seems someone saw it climbing the fence, most of it's pieces still clinging to the fence, I cringed at the tought of it stinging some poor kid at recess.

No, I don't think they are edible. But in parts of mexico there's this small bug that when you attack it it spews something that smells utterly awful. well, in some mountains they thrive and people go there, catch them by the handful and make tacos with them, fry them and grind them into salsas and such.

I had a friend from there, she was so hot, but I swear, after she told me she ate them, I swear, I didn't look at her the same.:eh:
