Where do you start looking for someone if your concerned they may of went down??

My b/f left for Austin on his bike today at 1pm from our house in Katy. Its about a 2.5hr drive in he car, he was suppose to be going to his parents house. I have yet to hear from him and he always calls when he arives somewhere on the bike, that is the rule, he does that even if he is in the car. We are new riders, less than 3mths, we've never rode that far before and he was carrying 2lrg bags as well. It has been 5.5hrs since he left and I can't get a hold of him or his parents.

Does anyone know of any websites or anything that might show current accident reports or anything?

Thanks!

I am not sure exactly how he went, he usually goes up 10 for most of it but I am not sure after that.

5.5hrs is suff amount of time for a newb to make it right? I am trying not to overeact.

called parents, no answer, phone is still on, it goes straight to vmail when off, maybe he forgot to call but that is not like him, plus I have been calling him. I worry b/c the most he has ever rode is about 30 maybe 40 miles straight.

I'm sure he's okay. He may have gone a different way, since the roads can be quite fun up there.

Remember that no news is good news! It was nice meeting you two yesterday.

You can pull out a large Texas map and check all the counties between here and there. Waller, Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Bastrop and travis. I would have taken HWY 71 to get there. You can look up the Sheriff Dept numebrs on the interent and call them. When you do, ask if they had any motorcycle accidents that he could have been involved in. Being the g/f, not the next of kin, they may not release the info to you. You can also ask what hospitals are in their juridiction and call they. Also, being the g/f they may not give you the info. Also, several counties dispatch for DPS so, they may or may not have the DPS info for an accident. If the counties don't dispatch for DPS, ask for the phone number of the local DPS office that does dispatch for the local troopers.

Best of luck and don't worry to much. He's a guy and probably forgot to call. Just express your concerns next time you talk with him!!

It's okay to call like state troopers, like previously mentioned.

called someone that dps said to call, they don't have any info yet but left them my number, he doesn't have any ICE info on him and the bike has dealer tags on it, his phone locks automatically when it's not being used and you have to use a 4digit pin to unlock it so no one would be able to unlock it to get my number anyways, I suppose I will just wait by the phone a while longer, thanks for everyones help and support
