Disagree - the Acura hit the guy head on while passing a slow-moving vehicle. That kinda indicates the Acura decided to cross to the oncoming lane.

The driver will almost surley not be charged with murder (barring him being under the influence of an drugs/alcohol), he will have to live with the fact his lack of responsibility and careless driving killed another person though.

passing a slow moving vehicle isn't illegal. You need to wait for it to be safe, but you know how different perception can be looking out for cars or bikes. especially at night. RIP to the rider, but remember that the Acura driver is going to have to live with the knowledge of this experience even if it wasn't their fault.

I talked to Robert (BlueWave) this morning. I know him and all his Busa buddies ride back there quite often. He told me all of them are accounted for and he doesn't know who it was.........incase anyone was wondering.

Just found out it was my buddy andrew and his girlfriend, which was the passenger is the civic, she didnt make it and he has a 50/50 chance of living.
the drunk driver that hit them only has minor injuries and she is going to be charged with intoxicated man slaughter.

Here's the story:

A fatal crash happened Friday @ 1:45 am in the 12200 block of Almeda Road.

In that accident, a honda civic stopped at a traffic light was rear-ended by the driver of a red Toyota Tundra.

It was reported that the female passenger in the honda was killed and the driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the Toyota pickup, who suffered minor injuries, is possibly facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.

None at the moment..... :-(

Different story that charliebrown is talking about. The one involving the motorcycle wreck, the rider was pronounced dead by my brother. He is a RN for a hospital in Baytown and was one of the first emergency personel on scene. He checked the guy out and knew he had passed away. I got a call about it this morning from him. He knows I used to ride and was just lettin me know how he felt about seeing someones baby there. Said the guy was in between 18-24 years of age..... :-(
