CHL and Bikes

Just wondering if anyone knows.....
If you have a CHL, can you carry your weapon in a leg holster or is it no longer concealed and considered illegal? Can you carry while on a motorcycle?
I am not familiar with the law on this. And it might seem stupid and all but I was just curious. What is the law? I have a shoulder holster for my 9 mm but never carry cause i dont have the CHL ( if you want to believe that, heheh)

just curious.

Yes, you can carry on a motorcycle, BUT, it must be concealed. If you use a leg holster and other people see it, you're asking for trouble.

Use a shoulder holster or SOB and be sure your jacket doesn't ride up.

I personally would use a holster that I actually have sewn into the lining inside my jacket (if I carried of course :icon_bigg ).

Concealed carry is just that on any or in any vehicle. Just try not to wreck.

Yes, a CHL allows one to carry a concealed handgun. I think we have a winner!

I've wondered that as well. Sept. 2005 you could carry handgun and ammo together in your vehicle w/o license. Does the same apply to bike?

Go get a license and not try to decipher the law... It's either concealed or not, if you can be made it's not concealed.

If you carry, just think of the injuries that might be collected if you go down. In General you won't find me EVER with a SOB holster, a hip holster at 4/5'oclock is better as it's not right next to the spine. An ankle holster is better than nothing trying to access it can be a pain. Beware of some shoulder holsters, expecially poorly fitted/constructed ones. Since we ride bikes a vertical shoulder holster with muzzle down would make me feel better than a horizontal rig. My favorites for custom leather is Alessi and Milt Sparks, more are out their but I like these. BTW: the best and cheapest way would be the pocket, zipped, sewn in...

Man if you fall with that pistol on you - that's not an over all good situation for you. For those of us that have supersports bikes we all are going too fast for anyone to have beef with us in the first place.

thats the new "traveling" law and it's still kinda sketchy, the DA has stated that if your popped w/ your weapon in that condition (loaded) and in fact, your not traveling, you will goto jail.......so it's not nearly as "good" as a CHL......

I use Galco for all my holster / concealed carry needs. Have for years.

Get a CHL and you won't have to worry about it.
