IMHO that is a mistake on his behalf. I know he wants to race Rossi....and beat him, but motogp is financially hurting right now. All of this, while WSBK is growing.

I agree, but he wants to go beat the greatest of all time while he is still racing...if yami even gives him a bike capable of it

Cool, I read something similar on "Visordown news" a brit publication. They think Spies to a "Factory Spec" Tech3 with Toseland back to WSBK.. That would be sweet....Colin and Ben on the same team, if not the same machinery...LOL

I think he should stay in SBK for one more year unless Rossi retires. He should get more experience through SBK and then hit them with his skills.

If he does get on board with yami, why would you think they wouldn't give him a capable bike? They gave one to lorenzo.
Besides, i dont think rossi is retiring anytime soon.
The guy is making over 30 million a year, still wining, and most importantly still has the passion to keep racing.

neither is lorenzo.

Rossi aint goin to F1, just cuz he's a legend at one sport does not translate him into being able to reproduce those results in another.....
Look at Jordan with basketball and baseball.

Spies is under contract with Yami for the next two years (after this one)

He has stated he would like to win a WSBK championship before he jumps to MGP. If he doesn't do it this year, he will return to WSBK. If he does win it, he will go to MGP. As of yesterday MGP have clarifyed the rules regarding rookies as to a rider under contract who places in at least 9MGP races in a season thus completing a rookie season. This closes the loop hole I was hoping they would use to get him a factory ride right off since he scored points in 2 races last year.

Very possibly he will go to MGP next year on Tech3 with a factory bike. If JLo leaves Collin would move back to Rossi's teammate and keep the seat warm for Spies to take over in 2011.

Rossi is under contract with Yami untill 2010. After that he will MOST LIKELY go to Ferrari F1. Especially since Massa's injury over the weekend, he seems to be the next in line. If not, he will go to rally racing.

Any thought of him going to WSBK is REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDICULOUS.

There is no chance that Rossi will be going to Ferrari. That is a MotoGP pipe dream.
