Sorry man, I think they implanted a gadgetry/farkle chip in my brain when I went in for my first BMW service. At least I do not have a cup holder... yet.

I have mine in the bag behind the windshield and the detectors pick it up just fine. Had to change it out only once last year when the internal battery went bad---got a new one (about the size of a deck of cards) and it has worked just fine. Heat does not seem to affect it. A cop buddy of mine has his in his saddlebag (GoldWing rider) and his also seems to work just okay.

Hey---take a compliment when it is offered. When you get as OLD as Challen, compliments don't come often enough....and leave my cupholder out of this thread...it's sensitive to such comments.
