EZ Tag question?

I just ordered an EZ Tag for my bike which arrived today. They sent me an easy tag that ten times the size of the one I have in my car and twice the size of the one I used to have before they went to the little thin ones.

The instructions that come with it tell me to plaster this huge piece of on the front of my with shield. This thing is nearly the size of my wind shield there is no way I'm going to put it on there! I've heard of others talking about putting it in back under storage area and have even had cops stop them to check it there and were okay with it.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

Dude,

That's bizarre, I just got mine in the mail like 2 days ago and it's one of the little post-it sized sticker ones. Call them up and see if you can get one like I have, tell them it's for your bike and there is no where to put that other thing.

I got one at the ez tag store for the nuda about a month ago.
Was one of the old ones. Just smaller than a deck of cards
lady at the counter said i can store it anywhere. Under the seat if need be.
So just as long as u have it with you.

The EZ Tag store gave me on old school tag as well. I keep it in the tail and it will open any gates I drive through

Okay that's what I want to hear. So they told you at they store to your face to put it anywhere you want to?

I've got to tell you I am really beginning to get tired of dealing with all the governmental bureaucracies I can just barely stand thinking of it any more.

Ignore the instructions. They use those as those are the old EZTags and are much easier to carry in your pocket then the newer flimsy thin ones. Just keep it in your pocket and you should be good.

Note: Wouldn't advise putting it under your seat, have it somewhere where you can get it out quickly. Commonly those tags don't read right, anytime I have used mine and went to a entrance/exit ramp with an arm, I had to hold it up in the air for it to open up.

I recently got the same brick. I keep in in the clear top of my tank bag. No way I will put that ungodly thing in my windshield.

I bought a tank bag that is about 1.5 inches thick for work commutes. Just big enough for my EZTag, parking card a clean dry shirt to put on at the office. I prefer the tank bag this time of year because the combination of jacket and my backpack just gets my back way too hot. ...and sweaty .... and stinky.

Great to hear that it will work in your pocket!

I have the old school one about the size of a deck of cards and its under my seat. Haven't had any issues with booths on the Hardy or gates.

The little small sticker ones are for a car, not a bike.

I took the BRC and our instructor told us how some people avoid paying tolles. He was one big cool dude who rides a nice Honda. I plan on buying a tag anyway at the end of August. My uncle took it the first week of April and he told him the same thing and he has been riding the toll rode without paying. So it must work. I won't take any chances.

Might want to get the EZ tag now and tell your uncle also. They are arresting people for running tolls and we do have confirmation of that from the Constable's office.

That's correct. Even when the cars used the older brick ones, the ones for motorcycles were thicker, supposedly to weatherproof them.

+1 Channel 11 just did a story on it. They're not playing anymore, even if you have an EZ Tag and deliberately try to go through without being scanned

under the seat works well, with or without curb monkey

just know this...my new truck still has no EZ-tag...but I thought the bikes ez-tag would count as payment even thouh the bike was in my truck bed and it was actually my truck driving through the ez-tag lane....well, i still got notified for running a toll and all kinds of other bullshit like falsifying information on my ez-account...apparently they go by weight at the check points....i explained the situation..."what had happened was..."
all understood eventually. still owed like $6 or whatever

I keep mine in my chest "zipper" pocket in my jacket. The only time I wear the jacket is on my bike so I always have it with me when I ride, in case I hop on the tollroad.
