The rider that crashed wasn't in our group and we weren't treating the street like a track. If I say "slow down" no one's going to listen to me. Maybe they'll listen to someone that can do something about it.

The rider died. Recovery looks questionable.

While it is the "same year after year" it's still sad to see so many lost lives. Everyone who loses their life on those roads has family left behind. I don't always feel for the rider, but I definitely feel for the family.

I was the second on the scene of that wreck. The man was hurt really bad and I had to try to keep the flames from his motorcycle from burning him. I stayed with him for about thirty minutes until they life flighted him off. I drive that road every day coming home from work and today noticed crosses placed at the site. I am not 100% what his name was because he could not speak but I think I found him in the obituaries. If it is the same man he was ony 21.

JOSHUA LEE WELLS, 21, of Deer Park, Texas, was a wonderful man and had a special zest for life but was unfortunately taken from us on Friday, July 31, 2009, due to a tragic motorcycle accident. Joshua is survived by his mother: Traci Garren; father: Walter Wells and step mother Nan; sisters: Ashley, Christa and Heather; brother: Matthew; grandparents: Christa Wells and Richard and Lillie Garren; aunts: Mabel Pearce and husband Danny, Jackie Wells and Lynn Daniels and husband Dwayne; great aunt: Barbara Garren and numerous friends and other relatives. A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway. A celebration of Joshua's life will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park. Joshua will be lovingly missed by all .

Well I guess I was wrong about who it was, I did not notice that his funeral was on the 30th. It is sad though, I was really hoping he would be ok.
