Exclamation Warning! (PSA)

Today we rode up on an accident scene on 1489 (near Brookshire). A rider had gone down. Lifeflight was called. Bike caught fire and burned after the crash. While we were waiting for the road to open back up, a state trooper that was at the scene approached us. He lectured us for 20 minutes. They're not playing anymore. They're getting lots of complaints about sport bikes and they're very upset about all the crashes and riders running from the police. He listed all the roads we ride on from the forest to northeast (Liberty County) and far west past Katy. He said they're taking photos of bikes and have them all on disk just in case someone runs. If you flee and they have your bike's picture from a previous stop, they will eventually find you. He said that means prison time, not jail. He was really adamant about getting the message out. If you're doing high speeds be prepared for heavy penalties

I was out there this morning about 8am. What time did this happen Bevo?

I love that stretch of 1489 too. Good surface, hardly any traffic, and rarely any po-po.

Which corner did the guy run off on? Assuming it was a corner. The only one on that road even remotely tricky is the one over the bridge.

I think it's the second one just south of I-10. It's a left hander as you're heading south. I've personally witnessed a crash on that turn (MH rider) and there were broken plastics from a previous crash too

I was up there today and I saw the tow truck and the cops leaving. If that was the bike on the trailer then that rider is in bad shape. The cops didn't say anything to us though.

When Mark hit the buzzard and went down the trooper took pictures of all our bikes and plates.
