Rears are no fun when there is nobody around to push in the axle. Nice job. I just got done putting new tires on mine as well. And, for the first time, safety wired everything too.

I watched a pro do it before, board under the tire for balance, rubber mallet to the axle. Very happy!

I don't suppose you remember how big the board was? I would like to get one since I keep putting nails in my rear tire

just remove both brakes...the entire caliper that is, and if ya want, zip tie them to the forks or something so they don't hang too much on the brake lines

losen axle keeper nuts, then losen and remove the axle...wheel falls free

Changing tires is cake. After the first time you will be able to do it real quick.

before a trackday, with chase's help, we had both wheels off, 2 new tires mounted by john, and put back on all in under 30 minutes. only paid for the tires and tipped john for his services

serioulsy, saved a $100 bucks; and every other time i change my tires

Thanks for the help at TWS (Texas World Speedway)

Typically when I am at home I place a 25 lb dumbbell under the wheel. It is the perfect height and the axle lines right up. Holding the rear caliper bracket in place while sliding the rear axle in can be a pain in the if you do not have something supporting the weight of the wheel.
