Thanks, Gabe. I'm looking at a bike that might have been his old endurance race bike.

Endurance Bikes and Sprint Bikes numbers may or may NOT be related..

For example - our team's bike # is 11. However none of us have that as our sprint number - so make sure.

^

What he said.

#11 belongs to Keith "ROADandTRACK" Hertell in the sprints.

The endurance numbers and assigned sprint numbers are, most often, mutually exclusive. I have been able to run my sprint number in endurance races before, but not as a general rule.

WW has had a ton of bikes over the years, so you never know. Send me a picture; I'll probably recognize it.

Spoke with Alan, and got all the info I need. (GREAT guy btw). But, I will not be pursuing purchase of this bike any further. For those interested, there is a 1999 R6 fully rigged on ebay for sale out of WACO.

And thanks to all who posted in this thread.

And bike was not Walter's.

Story goes, guy raced around country in multiple series with that bike. It was just to much money for a 10 year old bike.

I've heard that before. I don't know why some people think racebikes are worth more than streetbikes.

Guy selling it even mentioned a Ben Spies run in with the bike. $3500 for 10 year bike, I think not.
