Sounds like a small battle in front of you with the tow company. Let me know if there is anything I can do, like drink beer with you or something.

I agree with what the one guy said about the repair bill and getting their tow log.

I dont drink anymore but I appreciate the kind offer.

I cant park it inside, since my mom gets nautious w the smell of it; my biological sister does(moving home for a short while), and my other sister is pregnant. The closest storage area is 3 miles from me and they wont allow me to park my vehicle when I take the bike out.

I'll figure something out

An option: Get a storage unit that your car will fit in and just swap them out. would be more expensive though...

If we are going to start a fund, I say we start a Cali LoJack fund. That way the next punk that trys to steal his stuff gets a nice surprise.
You know AT&T offers GPS on some of there cell phones. Most parents use it, to keep track of where their children are at all times. At night you can strap it in a secret place, on your bike and if it's missing the next day... you can track it down on the Internet. Just leave the cell on and on silent, during the day, just charge the cell. You can open a plan with very few minutes and no text abilities. Also the plus side is, if you track the bike down... you have the option of either calling the cops, or taking care of it on the low, with a lot of masked buddies.

I tell everyone that I stopped drinking too.

But then I tell them, I started pouring it in a bowl and now eat my alcohol.

Matt,
I'm sorry to hear about your bike, but glad you got it back.
Depending on WHO made the mistake about the bike being up for repo, the tow truck co. may not be liable.
If the information they got was that your bike was up for repo and they picked it up, they were doing their job. Regardless if the info was erroneous or not.
I guess what I'm saying is that your beef may not be with the tow company but with whoever it was that had it up for repo, and that you may have some issues determining who is liable for the damages.
That being said, I'd be happy to help you in any way I can, including any parts you might need at cost.

Lastly, IMO, in this day and age, keeping a motorcycle outside significantly increases the risk of it being stolen.

I'm not sure if you had it locked / secured by any other means than the steering lock, but ANY deterrent is better than just the steering lock.

Perhaps you should consider Burnboys or Aijays offer to share their garage.

The Tow company already mentioned there is no repo order for the katana and they aren't sure why it was picked up.

And yes, when it comes to estimate time the bike is coming your way.

Sounds like a clear cut liability issue then.
See you soon.

let your imagination run with that.
Reminds me of the sword in Blade. If the wrong hand grabbed it - no more fingers. Your bike will identify the print and if it isn't authorized... spikes. LOL - Make sure you have onboard video - priceless!

The fact that it was returned sometime between 11pm and 1am tells me that the driver plain and simple took the wrong bike. They aren't even suggesting they were right. I can see the driver now... trying to put the bike back, thinking "maybe he'll wake up in the morning and think it was all a bad dream."

Dumbazzes!

maybe the towing company, or at least the drivers, are running around stealing bikes...after all they cannot produce a repo order???

I bet the media would love a story like that.
