Jerez GP - Spoiler...

Not an overly exciting race... but interesting results nonetheless. I think Stoner was the big surprise of the day!

I don't think Pedrosa is any surprise at all... he is a 3 time world champion and on the factory Honda bike.

Stoner has never won a world championship and is on a satellite Honda...

Also not Stoner's home circuit so a very impressive debut for him, Pedrosa might have had like the Hayden effect for Laguna Seca. Stoner did very well...but after watching Pedrosa in practice and qualifying, the kid can just rail. Once he builds up some stamina to throw that big bike around he's going to be a force.

hey, that's racing for ya, remember when Rossi got into Sete's line and made him go out into the sand?? there's shouldn't be any apologies. but Elias better watch himself from now on, or Rossi will put his curse on him just like eh did on Sete.lol

that's true, in my opinion Laguna Seca is an awesome track, but last year's race was kinda dull, with the exception being the corkscrew, specially Colin's passes.

So it's not the track, Jerez is an awesome track, IMHO.

"I saw Toni come up on the inside and he hit me; this is racing and these things happen. I have known Toni for many years and he is a good rider. He apologised to me after the race so I told him not to worry - only to remember to brake next time and if it is too late then to hit another bike instead of me!"

When you see his interview on video he is obviously very joking about the whole thing and is cool about it.

"I feel sorry for Valentino, but it was a really close start and we all reached the end of the straight bunched together. I was right next to Shinya Nakano and when I tried to avoid him I clipped Valentino. I went to apologise to him after the race."
