Cow Creek Ride 7.25 (south of houston)

Im thinking of riding through cow creek on saturday morning, anyone is welcome to join. Its about 90mi total, and could take anywhere from 90 to 120 mins.

The route is all flat but it has some twists, lakes, forests, and lots of farms.

I got the end point set up for the pearland town center, so if any one wants to eat/drink theres a BJs Restaurant Brewhouse that should have good food and beer.

KSU 10am, Shell Station, SE corner of FM518(broadway)/288

Here is a google route:

Just took that ride this morning. Very nice route. The way we did it was we came down 1462 all the way to 36, then took 36 to Rhodes School, and then hit Nash/Cow Creek. Loved it. Just watch out on Nash, there was about 6-7 deer crossing whenever we went.

I'd go, but I'm on a Shadow 750 cruiser and I don't think I could keep up.

yeap Helena is right... too much gravel on that road, seems that people that live there lay down gravel intentionally to slow down the bikers :(

Ahh. I've ridden it 3 times in the last few weeks, haven't noticed much gravel. Not saying it's not there, I just haven't noticed it. There is one little part in the road that is kinda...odd and kinda wavy and makes the bike wobble a bit, but nothing too bad.

i live 2 miles from cow creek and ride that are all the time, it's nice you may want try cr 42. When you take 521 instead of going all the way to 1462 i want to say 2 or 3 miles before 1462 is cr 42 and that will put you have way down 1462. CR 42 is nice is tight cant go superfast but has nice curves just keep an eye out

That is a different ride, there is this ride for Cow Creek and a Crabb River ride for the parade laps to MSRH.

Agreed. Ive been down cow creek/nash two or three times in the past 3 months. Didnt see any problems with gravel. Will keep an out as always though.
