my 1098 review

ok so awhile back we picked up a wrecked one, it wasnt that bad just needed some tlc and some new parts and paint. anyways i finally got it all back together a couple of weeks ago, and i was as happy as a little kid on his birthday , so i took it out for a little ride. my first impression was that it was complete overkill and was AWESOME!!!! that was until it craped out on me after 30 miles. i figured out it wasnt charging so i called the dealer and told them to order the regulater seeing as how they had a recall on em, and 10 days later the part was in. dropped the bike off at eximports (yea yea i know what your thinkin) anyways picked it up 2 days later (this was last friday) and have put about 450 miles on it since then.

ok the bad things are:
1 the mirrors kinda suck but i dont care
2 it needs gas every 85-90 miles, eh doesnt bother me that much
3 the seats kinda hard. i really dont plan on any long trips with it so who cares

now the good:
1 holy **** that things got some torque
2 holy that thing will rail around a corner
3 its freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by far one of the funnest bikes ive ever riddin

heres before
n34402183 34385913 4874

and heres after
duc

chris, i'll pick up the 1098 today so that you can review a drz400 or ruckus. your reviews are amazing and should be featured in a full page in-color magazine!

i also ride a 1098 and i would like to say that the bike is awesome! the only flaw that i found was the flickability of the bike, it takes more effort to go through an "S" than most japanese bikes but i guess thats the trade off for the stability. I am thinking about going -1 in the front just to see how it feels riding around town.......

oh yeah another thing i forget to mention.... ExImport SUCKS! make sure you never leave your bike there for too long.... if you give them enough time they will switch your new parts with some old ones so you will need to bring your bike back for service sooner then you expected!

eximport sucks! I live in pasadena, and will go out of my way to take my bike up north to bob lunsford. Good guys, great service. I still regret getting my 848 from eximports everyday
