I'm sorry but I beg to differ...

You have to be IN it to WIN it..

7th or no - he finished 1st, that's what the reports/results page will say..

A win's a win..

Every man and his dog knows that when a race is red flagged the positions go back a lap!!!

Josh Brookes has been banned for the next two ViSK.com British Superbike rounds after being found guilty of reckless riding at Mallory Park.

Brookes was the cause of a six bike pile-up on lap 23 of the opening race after he lost control of his HM Plant Honda under braking at the hairpin, robbing Simon Andrews of a possible first BSB win.

Following a review of the television coverage, statements from marshals, an inspection of the machine and an interview with Brookes, who broke his thumb in the accident, it was ruled that Brookes was not riding in a manner compatible with general safety.

As such, a two event ban has been applied with a further one event ban that will be suspended for two events.

The HM Plant Honda team will not appeal the decision.

Earlier this year, Brookes was riding under a suspended two race ban after being involved in a collision that saw Sylvain Guintoli break his leg at Donington Park.

Here here! That is total BS but what else could you do, I can't think of a better option here... Thoughts? What would you do in this situation if you owned the rule book? Restart the race for a lap?

I'd do what every other major race organisation would normally do,
take it back a lap!!
They were 23 laps into this one when it happened!!
Red flag it, go back a lap, declare a result

Ehh, I don't like either one of those options! Don't see much else you could do though...
