Pull the spark plug cap outta the whole and shoot some contact cleaner int then hit it with compressed air then pull the plug and clean it with contact cleaner then put back together and see if it's fixed

is the plug fouled or out of gap? Try a new plug? If you cant get a new plug try switching them and putting the rear plug into the front cyl.

did you clean the plug wires? Its proly not the plug itself..its that there is corrosion in the plug wire boot. Corrosion is causing high resistance and not letting all the voltage/amperage to get the the spark plug itself...

i just had this problem. take the radiator off and remove the front spark plug. stuff a small rag into the hole and get it nice and dry. fire up the engine and shoot the rag out like a nerf gun. and left over moisture will exit after a little while.
dont run it for long since the rad is off. slap it all back together, apply some silicone grease in the plug wire seal and be done.

did you ride in the rain? The SV is notorious for the front plug not firing after it gets wet. Take the spark plug cap/wire out/off of the front plug and blow compressed air into the are until it is dry.

Had to do this on my SV once after riding in the rain.

fuel, spark, compression.

pull out the spark plug, ground it to a good ground and crank over the bike.

Do you have spark?

The coil has a power wire and a ground that is controlled. Check your inputs; or if possible swap w the other cylinder just to check for spark.

If you have a DVOM, check for an open in the SPWire. about 1kohm/inch.

If you have spark, can smell gas in the cylinder, do as mentioned above w the cleaner or add a little bit of H2000 or something to oil the cylinder walls to build compression.

Once is starts running w the above, you'll smoke a little and need to remove and clean the plug again.

DVOM: digital volt/ohm meter.

Ok, we need a wiring diagram now to follow the power supply and controlled ground. What is the year and full model? I can try to search for an ETM online.

Do you have a fuse marked for the coils or ign?
