Welcome to Motohouston!

All gear is good...wear it all. Protect yourself. There are plenty of MSF courses available. Just find one that works for you and take it....I actually need to get on that.

Welcome. Wait until after your MSF course to get your gear. Most of your questions will be answered then.

And obviously, I'm biased as to which school is best.

A lot of it depends what part of town youre in and how far you're willing to drive... I would recommend a smaller shop like GP in Pasadena vs cycle gear... they always hassle me when I'm there.

As for gear, I went with Scorpion and it seems to be pretty high quality for the price (especially love the helmets). I have a mesh jacket for now and looking to upgrade to leather but not sure I can take the heat in Houston.

Awesome Cylces was a pretty awesome MSF course! although the guy with the mohawk is kinda fruity...

also you get some coupons at the end of the MSF course for cycle gear and other places. so you can buy more stuff
