His parents say the same thing. They had a bet that he wouldn't make 30. His dad lost.

I don't know what made him calm down, but I'm glad I didn't know him then...

I don't have to experience things to know what i'm talking about. Thats why humans are so developed. We can read and learn from the mistakes of others. I dont mess with anyone so I don't have to worry about if someone is packing or not. But if someone messes with me then they will have to wonder if i'm packing or not. Thats what a CHL is for. To protect your life. Seems like you dont seem to understand that. Let me guess you think people who get into a lot of fights are cool? How is it that some people can get through life without getting into any fights and then other people see it as a badge of honor to brag about how many fights they got into. Unless I fight for a living I would rather not get into any fights.

Obviously you can't read.

I don't care if you have a gun or not - I carry a knife sometimes but never a gun - i have not needed one yet.
Well for your own good I hope that if you ever needed a gun that the person next to you would have a gun. You can't project your own feelings onto the general population at large. There are MANY situations in which a person needs a gun. Just read the news.

1. 23 year old chinese woman getting off from work at 10 pm on a wednesday night shot while pumping gas when someone tried to rob her purse.

2. A man watching TV in his house when 4 people broke in and killed him

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...g/6529970.html

3. 24 year old man and his 47 year old father shot while working at a conveniece store on a Tuesday morning at 7am.

Those are just two stories in the news from the last month where people might have had a fighting chance if they had a gun. I'm sure you would have come out on top like a real hero if you were in these situations and made sushi out of the 5 thugs that came in with shotguns to the convenience store.

Youre talking bad about someone who has a gun when you are hitting them. But think about the absurdity of what you did. Someone said something and you hit them on numerous occasions. Obviously society frowns upon your actions thats why you did some stints in prison. Now think about it its not illegal to talk smack to someone but it is assault to hit them for talking smack. Maybe you need to goto anger management school.

Now as far as the law goes the person who shoots someone for hitting them especially if they feel their life is threatened is more in the right than someone who hits someone for talking smack. Its not a crime to talk smack but it is a crime to hit someone. This isnt the Wild Wild West.

You WILL be arrested and do time for shooting somebody- esp if they didn't have a weapon. It's best not to offend ppl, I always say.

I've had plenty of real life experiences without managing to end up in jail or get shot or stabbed. Maybe you should clarify what you mean by "real life" if by that you mean YOUR life then NO THANKS.

Yeah because you know the life i've lived. Quit judging others and being so naive and childish yourself. Its quite possible I lived the same life as you but just had better judgment that prevented me from ending up in prison or getting shot or stabbed. I'm pretty sure if you gave 10 people the same situation in life each person would handle it differently with an end scenario of 10 different outcomes. Somehow you seem to think your situation in life and your experiences are top notch and mine pale in comparison. Well either way good luck with your life and i'll take my chances with mine. With that I leave this thread so it can go back to what it was which is discussing the events at PP1.

It's FUBR about her being shot, but that area is pretty bad- 'specially in the middle of the night. I stay out of downtown for a reason.

This is not downtown. This is directly in front of the galleria. If thats the bad part of town whats the good? That is pretty much the best part of town. Which is why i'm moving out of Houston first chance I get. Its been infiltrated by thugs and hooligans and Mayor Bill White does not support the HPD and has policies in place that lets illegals run rampant. If the government is not willing to protect its citizens I suggest all the good people just move out till the ones that don't pay taxes are left and then the government goes bankrupt. Thats pretty much the situation you have in California.

im up for a good old fight and leave it at that... tired of people having to escalate it, if you offend me and it moves to a fight thats where it ends....guns are so bullshit now for self defense for robberies etc. I understand. But so many people want to just reach for that gun.
