Funny how the nuts grow when you have one. When you pull it are you going to use it or just wave it around cause you can't fight. Half the times that i have bashed heads in is because they pull it and then i take it.
I am not going to have a gun because :
A) I am not afraid to fight
B) I have no problem with killing someone.

I see the need for CHLs and don't really have a problem with them - it's the people that get them for the wrong reason. The ones that get them because they are too much of a coward to fight but want to talk chit.

I pack a knife - i like it close and personal
most people i know w/ CHLs are the opposite, they keep it on the downlow.

it's peeps that aren't legal that do all the boasting your talkin about......

I haven't found that to be the case at all. What IS the case is those of us who do choose to carry a firearm are getting pretty damned tired of ignorant comments and insults.

The only reason a firearm should ever clear leather is when you are in a situation in which it should legally be used.

In other words, you don't pull it unless you can legally defend the fact that you killed someone with it. They are not to be used to threaten - that in and of itself is a crime.

No argument. They should not be carrying a gun.

And perfectly useless against someone who intends to kill you with a gun, or against more than one assailant.

that will get ya killed, I'm to old to fight, I also dont start . I carry because I feel the need to in todays ****ed up society, if I ever have to pull it, it will be used and not by someone taking it from me because I am scared to defend myself with it.
I'm not a bad , I dont hide behind my CHL, I, as a citizen, refuse to be a victim of todays so called bad .

serious, I call BS....how many guns have you taken away,
how many lives have you taken with your swiss army knife?
best be ready in this neck of the woods, I know a lot of folks are packing, heck, league city / friendswood has the most licenced holders in the state last I looked, that equals a lot of folks who dont give a rats if your a bad with a knife and I am sure if they are put into the situation where they are afraid for their lives or others close by, there would be no doubt, lead will be flying. be ready to fight all you want, your gonna be doing with horizontal holes in ya.

LAME

I would like to see you with your pocket knife as those guys at starbucks are shooting you while driving past you from 50 feet away. So a gun is for but knives are for brave guys like you? What a dumb statement. Do you make the distinction on bravery? Let me call my 70 year old dad and tell him to sell his gun. In case of a home invasion by 5 guys I would not want him to look like a coward so I shall ask him to get a knife instead. Thanks. I will sell my gun too. Don't want to look like a ***** in your brave eyes.

I think he was just stating the fact that people would rather draw their gun then fist fight.

word.

=) Everyone should always pray that their CHL is the most useless piece of plastic they ever obtain. Taking a life is no laughing/light-hearted matter, especially for myself, engaging in a career dedicated to protecting life.

well i gave this a lot of thought and realized that I am a big pus*y for not being able to dodge bullets, so while im woking on maning up to that, ill rather carry and return fire rather hoping for the shooter to miss his shots.

Dmouse is old. He's been in lots of fights with guns and knives. He's been shot numerous times- he knows that which he speaks. He's also been stabbed many times. He once lived a life quite different than the calm, normal life he's living now. Be careful who you're calling out- don't be an e-thug- you don't know anything about ppl who you're talking to online.

How many fights have you ever been in? What the fukk do you know? You DON'T know who's packing, so you should not speak with such knowledge. He was making a statement that has nothing to do with you. Does every post you make reek of your high mindedness?

I say this, because I have never been in a fight or feared for my life. There has never been a situation that it's been necessary for me to defend myself, because I don't put myself in that position. Personally, if I'm carrying, you won't know.

sumbitch! sounds like your lucky to be alive!
Ill have to admit, when I was in the original class, i saw a few whom i would figure are the type to get the chl for bragging rights etc etc. I also saw a few whom i felt hadn't the smarts to operate a gun, much less carry daily.
I'm just saying, like others, mostly thugs in this town and the shooting at starbucks is a good example, people have very little value for human life anymore and will pop a cap before you can reach and grab gun, or pull the knife, I would tell you be careful out there, but I guess you know what kind of world we live in w/o me telling you.
I, on the other hand have it for my safety, not a threatening device.
dude, all I can say is wow, glad your still alive.
