Let's Go Back In Time, Shall We?

Once very common, these days the CMRA doesn't see too many true vintage racers show up; we probably average about one or two per season. This past weekend a few vintage machines showed up, though, and this Triumph Bonny was one of them. Raced by Ryan Ambrose, who told me he was prepping for the upcoming AHRMA Mid-O event, this bike was very impressive. It went around corners quite well and freakin' hauled down the straights. Sounded as you might expect, too: megaphone loud and very tough. Best laps were mid 1:25s. Sweet.

Let's Go Back In Time, Shall We?

Nice, I have a friend inviting me to attend the AHRMA race in Barber in October. I might give it a try.

I'll be there next year, nearly finished with the build. Do you know what class this guy rode? I'm building or F40LW, but may go Clubman too.

Clubman. He could have also run classic and "ridden up" a class, which means he could have entered three or four classes. Same applies to you.

Well, F40 is everything you said except the "slow" part.

No s**t. Only took one race to figure out that slow wasn't part of it.

Kenny Roberts was my hero, ever since the day he about ran my over on a bicycle at the dome.

Can I run with the minis? Will they give me a headstart?

F4 will crush you, but F5, F6 and F7 should be safe.

BTW, post pix of your Maico. I used to own an '81 490 Mega(!) and an '83 250 Spider.
