Why? If I want to go without a helmet, that should be my choice not the states choice

Agreed as long as not ONE penny of my money has to go to fix your when you crash, including any tax dollars, subsidies, or increases in my insurance premiums.

Man, all these no helmet rights posts on all the forums through all the years. I could give a rat's if someone wears a helmet and becomes a vegetable or not, thats their decision, their problem, fukem.

I ALWAYS wear one and wouldnt think of even going a blocks to the store without one, but thats just me.

Helmet laws are just as stupid seat belt laws. I bet the reason they made it easier to not wear a helmet is that when you crash without one you have a much better chance at dying, which from an insurance perspective is awsome; No ER bills. The seat belt on the other had does actually prevent more injeries IE, make it a law to lessen the $$$ at the ER. Who knows.

I dont appreciate the insurance increases due to John Squid wrecking cuz he was concerned about using his helmet as a frame saver on the side of the bike.

Nor the reckless perspective sportbikers have already.

Sidenote: someone was laughing at me not long ago for being out in full leathers somewhere we stopped. her boyfriend didn't wear gear nor did she when she rode with him.

"you must not be very good if you have to wear all that gear. We never wear a helmet and do wheelies and chit all the time." (close to actual quote.)

I met the boyfriend whom continued to laugh at my katana as I stood there, telling me about how awesome his zx12 was over my 600. I then showed him a track pic of the bike on my phone's background. He shut the fk up quick but she didn't. He ended up pulling her away when I invited them to ride the forest with 30 of us on Saturday.

Hardheaded people and those who brag about how fast they are will always be the slowest and most unsafe riders.

Nope. Less restrictions the better, if people are stupid enough to not wear helmets then they are stupid enough to pay the price for it.
