I have the Vertigo Air and they are great, tho only complaint is the sole is so tapered it is hard to get the kickstand down on the 1098, it is kinda tucked in on that bike and the sole is hard to reach it, very comfortable tho

TCX isn't as widespread in the market as Sidi and some others are. Josh Hayes has worn TCX for a few years, though.

Jcat...

Why not the A* supertech R? They are a tad bit cheaper. Breath well. They have an inner boot which makes them kind of a pain in the to get on but they feel very supportive. Absolutely ZERO break in time. Oh yea...and every part, just about, is replaceable.

I narrowed it to those and vortice but after speaking with Gonzo and Irish (who own them), plus checked my bank account, I went with the A* over the Sidi.

What boots to buy? The ones that fit best at the level of protection you want....

Seriously - I have Sidi sport-touring boots, and they fit great. BUt Sidi race boots are made on a narrower last, so do NOT fit my foot. Same for Alpinestar. I bought the TCX Competizione's (spelling - whatever) and they fit me great.

Boots, helmets, gloves, jackets - gotta fit.
