Definitely get the Sidi's. they are the most comfortable, and best constructed boots you can buy. There is no break in period, and they will give you many happy miles.

However, I would recommend getting the Sidi Vortice of the Vertigo. You can replace the sole's on the Vortice, whereas you'll have to scrap any other boot as none of them can be resoled.

Just like doing regular maintenance on your motorcycle is required, so it is true of your gear. If you keep them clean, inspect them before each use, and tighten the required hardware, that won't happen.

And FYI, this is required of every race boot, or street boot that has screws. I inspect my leathers, boots, gloves, helmet, back protector, and bike before each use.

Note the replaceable soles of the Vortice

FYI I will be at the RideSmart Trackday at MSR-H on July 25th demoing TCX Boots. A rep will also be on-site to answer any questions.

Buying the Vortice is money well spent. You'll end up spending double your cost in a year on the Vertigo.

Gloves are cheap man! Besides, I hear MJ isn't using his any longer

TCX is a good boot, but the Sidis fit my foot better. They crash okay, too. (Ground up plastic parts can be replaced.) Soles on Sidis are pretty durable, but very dependent on foot pegs.

Try on both and see what you think, though.

My Sidis...
