This is a familiar scene to me...

I bought several CR500Rs over the years, but the last one I bought came with a similar story as this video. This was about 2003, and I grab a friend and we went to go look at this bike out in Katy somewhere, and when we got there it had been raining a bit. The owner opens up the garage door and pulls the bike out. I tell him I want to start it and ride it, and he's cool with that, of course. Since the street is wet, I just putt around and make sure it runs and shifts as it should, but I don't do anything stupid. I bring it back in about two minutes and kill the motor.

Then hero bike owner decides he's going to show me how to ride. He jumps on the bike and starts it up, wearing only shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes and cap. He puts his cap on backwards, and shifts the bike into first and proceeds to tear across his loamy front yard, greating a huge rut and toss clumps of grass and dirt into the air. He shifts into second as he does a small power wheelie through his front yard's grassy, shallow ditch. As soon as he hits the street, the back end breaks loose and the bike swaps ends. Then this braniac face plants at about 35 or 40 mph and slides down the road.

I turn and look at my buddy and his jaw is on the ground like mine is. "What the was that...?!" he says to me. Together we bolt over to the bike and rider, which is maybe 50 yards away in the middle of the street. This guy had bleeding road rash in little spots all over, including his forearms, face and jaw. He also broke his collar bone. He's saying to us (with tweaked jaw), "Oh man...what happened?"

We walk him and his bike back to his house. I knock on the door and get his GF to come out and look at him. (The GF, BTW, was way nicer looking than she needed to be relative her stupid BF.) She doesn't seem too concerned, but I tell her that he needs to head to the doctor to get his collar bone looked at and his noggin checked. She went in and got him some ice.

Although he was in no shape to talk, we start talking price and I negotiated a very hefty discount because of freshly damaged and bent parts. Among my parting words to him were, "I have cash, and you're gonna need it...today, when you go to the doctor's office."

Nothing wrong in doing a wheelie on a 2 stroke CR250R with MANY mods, If you know what your doing. I used to stand up, sit a wheelie in all gears. I think the idea is to know how to do it, cover the break and know when to feather it. Oh well i bet he will be in pain for sure...LMAO
