2 laps around ultimate mx in alvin

had the camera pointed down a bit too much, i think imma try and mount the camera on the bike next time, having the camera mounted on the helmet makes everything look flat, maybe having it on the bike will show everything better.

The track has changed since the last time I was there. You seem to be getting the hang of MX. Let me know when you guys are hitting ultimate and I'll go play.

Glen doesn't groom that place a lot, does he?

Fun track. Kills ya on a suspension-less mini, but pretty tame and tons-o-fun on full-size MXer.

Here's where you can truly use the rear brake and steer with the rear, Tony. Aggressive in, explosive out.

they've actually been grooming it a lot the past 2 times i went, probably because the amount of people showing up. the dirt has been nice and loamy lately.....sometimes muddy from over watering it.

i've been practicing sliding around with the rear, not a pro at it, but i can get the slide going pretty good in some corners. still trying to remember to grab the clutch when i use that rear brake.

i think after maybe 2-3 more mx days, i will gain a lot more speed. this past weekend i started focusing more on the track and less on my riding, and it's improved both simultaneously.

IBT friendly race. Lets set a date, how about July 14? What time?

I might get a new toy this weekend so it will be nice to play around.

Looks like they changed it up into more of a big bike track. When they first opened it was more pit bike-ish. Very nice.

it's a haul for me too.....but it seems to be a great training track instead of going head first to some of the bigger tracks. i've only been to 3 palms and ultimate mx, i like em both. ultimate usually has less people which is why i like it there a bit more. i'm gonna have to try out SWMX sometime too.

does Ultimate charge an annual membership like 3 palms? If so, count me out. I'm cool with a daily $10-$20 charge though. I don't do enough motocross to justify dropping $60 on a place I may go to once or twice a year. I prefer the trails. Twenty five bucks annually!
