Newbie questions

I've been looking into dirt bikes lately, the wr250f to be exact. Are off road dirt bikes costly to upkeep like sport bikes? I would mostly use it for joy riding on trails. I'm 5'6 120 lbs. I'm not sure if the 250 would be too small for me. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by small, but I have an 05 RM-Z 250 and I can barely touch the ground. I am around 5'8
If you only want it for "light" trail riding, such as SHNF or Cherokee, I suggest you look at the TTR-230 or the CRF230, those are fairly cheap bikes and can bring you tons of fun.

It is all about the fun, I've riden my wife's XR100 and it is fun as . Unless you have a heavy hand, I guess it will be enough power.
BTW, I might put my 250 for sale soon, PM me if interested.
