new paint on the trackturd

My track bike is ugly. Always has been. I attempted to paint it white at one point to make it respectable only to find out that I suck at painting AND having an all white bike makes it a PITA to find yourself in track photos. Sooooo.....corresponding with my trip to HPR and Miller starting this friday I figured I'd repaint it to make it look respectable, and maybe salvage a few rep points for Texans whilst out of state. Tell me what you think.

FYI: there's actually some metal fleck in the orange, but it doesn't pop in this picture.

He did all of the paint with rattle can. Looks MUCH better with the tank white rather than that silver, it was worth the extra work. Now just to finish it with the wheel fairing.....

Looks good. But you need a larger Texas flag. Maybe one that says " bless Texas" under it.

The paints I used were duplicolor T110 (pure/linen white) and clearcoat from their "truck and suv" line. The orange is also duplicolor, and is called metal specks. The color is called burnt copper.

I chewed through what was there with 150 on a palm sander, laid color, wet sanded with 1k grit, and laid clear on the white. On the metal speck I skipped wet sanding as I wasn't sure what it was going to do to the specks.

I tried to find the shape of texas with the flag in it, but couldn't. The sticker is a little small, but fits well with the curvature of the plastics.
