Used Tire mounting on the nawf side.

Motorcycles Unlimited is closed till tomorrow. Anyone else on the north side that will mount a used tire on a rim that is already off the bike fer cheap?

Yes I used the search function and came up with Motorcycles Unlimited and places on the south side and Katy.

The Woodlands to Conroe would be great.

They won't do a used tire. Monica said it's a liability issue.

They just want you to buy their tires.

..3 tire irons, lube and 4 rim protectors.
8 foot piece of 2x4, plus 4 foot piece of 2x4, some hardware and you have yourself a home made bead braker (that won't scratch up rims either).

Did that for a few years with great results. 10 mins/rim.

Spend another 50 on a static balancer and you are in business.

Total cost gets paid off within 6 tire changes, easy.

Just a suggestion.

The liability is the fact that their installation could be called into question if there was a failure. W a new tire the likelyhood of tire failure is less since they know there isnt a history of the tire previously.

Its just legality issues.

Found a manual no mar tire changer online fer $350. But for a few hundy more can get a used rimless tire changer. Would go good with my coats car tire changer in the shop. If I keep burning through tires every 6 months on 1 bike, I'm gonna need something soon.

Run over the edge of the tire with a car to break the bead, couple tire irons you're done
