Ebay plastics kit, please read

I'm contemplating getting a set of chinese plastics for the r1. Has anyone had any experience with them? I've been researching them for a while and found a seller that looks like the product might be decent. I read many reviews from him and found that some gsx-r and cbr kits have some problems but the r1s seemed to not have any major issues.
An aquiantance from another forum gave these a real good review for the same year and bike as mine. A few extra tools required to make them fit properly but overall he had a good experience.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/07-08-YAMAHA-R1-Y...ayphotohosting
OEM is always the best fit and finish for sure. However a few things keep me from going that route. The main is the price tag on OEM plastics. The second is that I will rarely ride on the street anyways so paying alot more for something that will seldom be used doesn't sound appealing to me, not to mention I've dropped alot more money in this thing than I ever intended to.
Advice / experience welcomed. Thanks

Will

i just bought some for my 06 R6, and they look great, but the paint is not that great, I mean it comes off rather easy. So you gotta be careful installing, because there is like one layer of paint. Also the exact fitment is off a tad in certain spots so be ready to do some customizing. Overall it was worth it, they look great, they just might need to be painted in a couple of years

We've used these 3 times so far and I rate them OK. The fitment is close, but could be off a hair lining up (barely noticeble unless your looking). The paint seems decent and dosnt scratch off to easy. The plastic itself is pretty good, not as strong as oem though.

For the price, you can't go wrong
