So what's up with the Evo shift kit

I was reading the kawiforum in which several members were saying that their bikes (zx6r 00-02 or j series or zzr600) had had problems with their transmissions (staying in gear, missing shifts, etc.). I myself have had some problems missing gears, and have read that when you miss gears the transmission gets damaged. Does a shift kit really fix this problem? Here is a website where they advertise a solution. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

Does anyone know anything about shift kits at all (like how much they cost, are they worth it, etc)?

They make the shifts more positive, particularly the lever action BUT if you already have a burnt/bent shift fork, or the dogs on the gears are starting to get rounded, the star is not going to help. Try lowering your shift lever closer to your boot to give you more leverage when you shift.
