Cold tires in 100 degree heat wave? I think it's more like you gassed it- esp with so little experience. Now you know why it's better to start on a smaller bike.

Glad it wasn't worse and you're okay. Knee pads FTMFW! That's three ppl in the last month or so that would have benefitted from them.

+1... or even a used bike that's already been rashed.

Either way, at least you're cool about it, and not like a baby.

everyone has an opinion. you're a new rider so their all gonna speak it. i mean lots of racers dont use sliders. their mainly for drops in the garage. sliders could have caused more damage. do what you will. remember, check tire pressures. i do everytime i get on the bike. ride decent tires. throttle control. body position. lots of things you can learn by surrounding yourself with the right people. track days are a good idea. i never have been on the track, so i ca'nt preach. i have been surrounded with those guys tho and have had a lot of rub off on me. lol. you're good, so be good and think about other factors when you ride. gear ftw, but throttle control, not! be your bikes master, use the force luke

Just another reason why a 600 is too much bike for people to start out on 98% of the time

glad you are ok

appreciate all the glad ur ok's, i honestly dont think that a 600 is to much bike as people say. when i went down i was doing the same thing ive done a million times take a turn and gas on it because i enjoy the way it feels when it torque's down in the turn and it pulls u out. People will allways have an opinion on anything and everything. happens. everyone goes down, i almost went down doing 120 on memorial day in the forest, but thanks to being cool minded and being able to control my "600 which is 2 big of a bike for me" i was able to keep it up and pull it out. There are two kinds of riders, People who have crashed allready, and people who r going to crash. Its a matter of time. Im just glad ive gotten mine out of the way allready =]
