I know a machine shop in Richmond that can press the neck out of the harley triple, weld it however is needed, and press it into the bandit triple. This may not be needed if you have a variety of bearings and things line up ok, but for $150 it takes a lot of headaches away.

They did my RM80 to CRF80 conversion, a CR250 to XR600 conversion, and a TTR90 to CRF50 conversion. All nice work, bolted right on, and they take the time to be sure they understand what goes where in advance.

yep, u got it.

unfortunatly, (uncompressed) the bandit forks are shorter than the harley forks. not to mention the 17in wheel doesnt help, my stock harley rim is lik 21"

all that mounts to is it just aint gonna work.

id have to get longer tubes, stronger triple trees and wat not to try to make it work. im not inclined to. hehe, oh well

haha, yeah it's your bandit's old front end. he got a good price on it (free so far) and it seemed like a possibility when we didn't have the harley and the forks in the same place to measure.

and how much worse could the bandit front end be than the stock harley parts
