Believe it or not, they're actually pretty cool to ride. I test rode one at Word Suzuki. Don't get me wrong, if I had the choice between that or a ZX10, I'd take the 10. There was a guy riding one on MLK a few months ago and he had a mean aftermarket exhaust on it and had the wheels chromed. It has a lot of potential, but the bottom line is that most people won't agree with it because they don't consider it a true motorcycle.

Hey hey!! I had the opportunity to promote the spyder for 18 weeks and loved it! You definitely have to be in the right frame of mind though. It is nothing like a motorcycle. There is no lean to it, no draggin knee, no stunting, or anything like that...BUT, it is a lot safer and works great for a lot of folks out there! I rarely rode in the rain on a 2 wheeled motorcycle, but actually enjoyed it on the spyder. I felt a lot safer (not that they can't hydroplane as well), but I just felt safer. They are a lot more visable than 2 wheeled motorcycles as well. But we all know the safety factors here...I loved the reverse on it!! I am short, so that was a big plus for me. As far as its handling, it is stable at high speeds (which suprised me a bit), and handles well in the corners (just keep in mind they aren't sports bikes and aren't meant to go 3x the speed on the sign, haha). They drive like a car (so to speak). You don't counter steer with them, you turn with the corner. I did miss being able to get lean in the corners, but I still had a great time with it. My local boss man came and picked her up today , so I am once again without a bike...Unless I get brave and take the hubby's stratoliner out. I have only ridden sportsbikes, so this will be interesting.

Base model (black and silver w/manual tranny) is $16,200 and $17,400 for the semi automatic tranny (paddle shifter)...BTW, the TwoBrothers exhaust on the spyder was hands down the best!! The hindle was decent and the can am exhaust was decent too, but I would suggest the TB for the spyder!

Front end doesn't wash out when you lock it up. Can't wheelie. Probably can't stoppie. It a very safe alternative to a bike, but still not a bike. Too bad they aren't manual shift so you could train on one then move "up" two two wheels.

No stoppies, all 3 wheels are controlled with the foot brake (no hand brake). And you can learn on them, they come in Manual and a Semi Automatic. You can learn the concept, but not the balance factor. Great for people who don't feel comfortable on 2 wheels or physically can't be on 2 wheels.

I promoted them for 18 weeks, but the gig is over now I see you are in se houston. Gene's out in baytown exit 800 off of I-10 and Team Mancuso in La Marque. They both have demo bikes and will let you ride if you stop in...

You can buy a lot of things for that price, just like everyone else....I like mine, the wife would rather ride it than my Kawi, and we love to watch folks stare at and take pictures....don't knock em tell ya try'em!
