#1- my fault- in my parents driveway (never crash in front of your mom)

#2- rear ended at a stoplight by dirtbag who was texting.

To answer Cali's question- after the first, cleaned off the blood and got right back on. After the 2nd, Got back on the bike as soon as I could shift, only to be told by the foot doctor that.. no, I could not ride yet. Why or why did I have to break the LEFT foot??

Four times, last three I was on medication. The first some lady just got done having happy hour and nearly ran over me. She was on the way to pick up her kids from school.

I don't like the way the poll was worded, either (regarding 0 crashes).

I've ridden street only 15k miles.

10 trackdays.

I'm pretty conservative.

2 crashes on the street. Both at 10mph or less.

3 crashes on the track
One crash at Autobahn speedway during a WERA race...crashed out in the last turn trying to save first place! Picked bike up but in the excitement didn't get the bike re-teched (at the finish line!) so was DQ'd from Second Place.

Two crashes at Daytona 'couple years ago:

1) One in the rain exiting the chicane at about 100 mph.
Result: No more racing in the rain, especially after successfully qualifying for Formula USA, and getting ready to come in!

2) The Big One...white flag lap, got sideswiped while getting drafted on approach to the tri-oval...ERION CBR 929 in 6th gear at 12,000 rpm with stock (tall) gearing = about 180 mph. Slid 200 yards, bike slid another 150 yrds and basically broke in half and blew up! Got up and walked away. Got some GREAT "before / after" pix of the crashed remains of bike in Impound. Destroyed leathers hung in my office for 3 years! Thank you Dainese, Held, Knox, Daytona boots & Arai!

Result: Returned to Daytona the following year and won CCS Amateur National Championship.

It's OK, mine was droped on the right side in a parking garage downtown, and the other side was "broken in" at the end of my driveway.

I attribute one to taking Lunesta the night before.

Cold tire on a cold road + too much throttle = crash one

Tired of lap traffic + a lil too confident = crash two

kind of spooky talking about crashing on a moto forum.

Kind of like para jumpers talking about how many times your chute did not open...lol
