Valentino Rossi fifth highest earning sportsman

Quote:
Motorcycling's greatest ranks high up the list of world's top earning sports stars

10 Top Earning Non-US Sportsmen 2009
David Beckham Football £28,000,000
Kimi Räikkönen Car Racing £25,000,000
Manny Pacquiao Boxing £24,750,000
Lionel Messi Football £24,700,000
Fernando Alonso Car Racing £22,000,000
Valentino Rossi Motorcycle Racing £22,000,000
Yao Ming Basketball £20,500,000
Lewis Hamilton Car Racing £20,300,000
Roger Federer Tennis £18,250,000
Vijay Singh Golf £17,800,000

VALENTINO Rossi clearly doesn't worry about the credit crunch.

Motorcycling's all-time greatest ranks joint fifth with Fernando Alonso in the non-US top earning sportsmen list, but is also tied in fifth place with Shaquille O'Neal in the combined world's top earning sports stars list.

David Beckham tops the non-US high-rollers list, but Tiger Woods dwarf's even Beckham's earnings; taking home £61,000,000 - over double what Beckham earns.

Still, Valentino earns around £60,000 a day. We'd be happy with that..
those figures are in £ Stirling.
Ex. rate today is approx $1.62 to the £1.00

and worth every penny imo

Rossi is underpaid.

Also, there's some people on that list that aren't even close to being worth what they are being paid.

That list is leaving out Mickleson (sp?) as well. A new list came out a week or two ago from Sport Illustrated I think, that gave last years top 50 earners including endorsments. It however, didn't include everyone either, but the 50th spot was $15 million USD for Lance Berkman.

are you insane? Kimi has always been overrated. and back in full force???? are you kidding me?? how is a season best finish of 6th back in full force? even his teammate Massa is faster. at least he finished 4th at silverstone. he has 10 points TOTAL for the season. a full 54 pts behind Button, and 6 pts behind Massa. Ferrari still have a lot of work to do on the F2009 and they're a full season behind what Red Bull and BrawnGP are at. Expect Kimi to be replaced next year at Ferrari with Sebastian Vettel.

well with it being a runaway series they are fairing well. they have had trouble with the f2009 but with the brawn and RB cars always placing up front they are forced further back in the group. take brawn out or replace them back with honda and compare RB with last years results 11th 16th. where does that leave ferrari? 2nd and 6th. it very discouraging to be on the winningest team in history and have a car that has been plagued with issues. button will have the championship. two more wins will net him the championship. kimi hes dull but what you do what. a racecar driver or an entertainer. ferrari will undoubtly try and get vettel. im willing to bet he will stay with RB for a few years.
