Oh and I forgot... also mention where they are headed back. If you live off 290 and Hwy 6, it does you very little good to end up on 249 in Tomball! LOL...

The same can be said for riding up TO Yankees.

I wasn't asking anyone to fend for me or wipe my , though.
I can Mapquest, print a map and ride to Yankee's anyday.
That's hardly the point considering 3090.

The bottom line is... group organization.

If the FG's decide that leading riders after Yankees is not their responsibility, cool, I'd just kinda like to know beforehand.

No one's looking for babysitters. If you're someone who knows the roads fairly well, just say, "hey, heading out @ x:xx to PP69." If someone decides to drink too much and lose track of time, that's their problem.

Especially on newb rides where I'm sure there are plenty of folks with no idea where Carlos, TX is.

On my first trip to Yankees, I was prob the VERY last person to get their burger. After they finally called my name, I took one bite and TiaTool was like... "Ok everyone, saddle up, we're leaving". I managed to scarf about half the burger down while gearing up!

This is a general reply and not directed towards Helios.

The return trip rarely if ever ends up at PP69. The last stop on the way back is usually at FM 149 & FM 105 in Conroe. Then people head out from there. If you live anywhere in the 290/BW8 area, you can still get there from the FM 149/ FM 105 intersection. I live in the 610/Shepherd area and I take 149 south until it intersects FM 249 which hits BW8. You can then take BW8 to 290. I take 249 past BW8 until I get to West Montgomery road then Shepherd south.
Some will take 105 east until it meets 45 and then go on your way.

As Cali has stated before NO ONE gets left behind. This past ride, there was a group of us at Yankees until Craigintx's bike was picked up by Spiderman. Then the group of about 10 or so headed back via 149 to 105 at 3 PM.

People split off early because they have somewhere else to go or don't want to eat at Yankees and yes they usually know the way back.

While riders may not be going in your exact direction, you will have enough options and groups to get you to where you want to go but it might not be the most direct route. With enough forest rides, you will get to know the roads around that area and then you can head out at any time you wish.

Study the route on the google maps link I provided. On my first forest ride, I was totally lost. Now by studying the map and roads, my fourth forest ride is a lot more familiar which makes my stress level go down and I can enjoy/focus on the ride.

Forest Ride Map Link: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...5,0.22728&z=13

I was in the last group and before we left, we checked inside and the bathrooms to make sure we weren't leaving anyone behind.

P.S. I will have my Nuvi with me.

That is kinda hard to do cuz the group gets scattered at Yankees. Your best bet is to pay attention in the rider meetings. Cali usually goes over this stuff and he points out the leaders and sweepers. If you don't know your way around just grab one of us and let us know that you need to get directions or be put with a group going to your area. You will be taken care of.
