450 picture

My motard is starting to take shape. Got my wheels/tires and front brake set up. Don't mind the motocross gearing, Wes has got me a set of sprockets on the way. The front fender is on the chopping block for a custom supermoto hack job today.

Can't wait for the next track day, or some fun in a parking lot somewhere!

Poor wheel is already chewed up from the previous owner, eh? I'm sure you have it there somewhere, so be sure not to run that bike without the chain guide. A bigger, better, top-mount chain guide is even, well, better.

+1 on the chain guide, or offset front sprocket spacer at minimum.
Is that a 5" rear?
Lemme know when you get it all sorted out. I'm alway up for some riding whether it be at the track or parking lots.

you might want to check the offset on the rim. Retrue it to the right. If it's in the middle you can get 20 mm by retrueing it to the right and that will help with the banging of the rim and tire. Also just get the Acerbis supermoto fender in Hinda red. Dont chop up your good moto fender. I think i have a red and a white in stock. They are not that much...Wes

Yeah, previous owner of the wheels put some chain slap on them for me. I am not too concerned with it though, I got the wheels for a steal! The rear wheel is a 5", and the previous owner has already moved the rim over on the hub by trueing it. He also added a rear sprocket spacer. right now the chain clears the rim and tire just fine. I have plans on flipping the front sprocket and washer to get a little more clearance. Once that is done, I should be in good shape.

I do have the chain guide still. The reason it is not on is because the rear sprocket was rubbing on the plastic part, since there is the spacer in between it and the hub.

Already chopped up the front fender also. I prefer the homemade fender, I guess that is more my style. Plus I have a complete other set of plastic for the bike in dirt trim.

Yeah, 16.5" front and 5" rear wheelset.

I am going back to work today for a week, but next week I will be up for some parking lot motard action. I will let you know when I get back in town. Maybe get a few other tards together (Mekrew, you game?)

I am going to check out an empty subdivision in my neighborhood today. All the streets are done but there are no houses in the subdivision. Looks like it would be perfect, only problem is there are curbs.
